Do I qualify for help with household waste and recycling collections?

• The applicant is incapacitated or disabled, either temporarily or permanently

• There is no other able-bodied person living in the same property

• No family member or neighbour is available to help move the rubbish to the designated collection point for the property

• The applicant can provide proof of incapacity from a doctor if requested to do so

• Your name

• The address of the property that you are requesting the assisted collection for

• The location of your existing collection point

• The location of your preferred collection point if the application is approved

• Whether your application is temporary or permanent

• The ideal start date of your assisted collection

• We will only collect the agreed containers. Any containers not agreed will need to be moved the the collection point by the household

• We will only assist for the period agreed. This will be reviewed periodically

• We will not collect containers from behind a locked gate

• We will not collect containers from inside a property i.e. inside a home, garage or shed

If you qualify for the assisted collection service, there is no charge for us giving you this additional support.
